Below, Rusted Gods Full Game Walkthrough Hub
Structured retail descent help with spoiler gates—not a demo replay map.
This page is the retail full-game walkthrough hub for Below, Rusted Gods after the July 29, 2026 Steam launch. It is not the demo route—preview pacing lives on Demo Walkthrough only. Retail adds branching radio decisions, four confirmed endings, expanded facilities, and eight Steam Achievements. This hub organizes phases, spoiler discipline, and wiki cross-links so Operators can finish a shift without turning the abyss into a spoiled checklist—or confuse demo beats with retail-only rooms.
Spoiler discipline (read first)
Full-game walkthroughs inevitably leak story, ending branches, and achievement gates. This wiki enforces layers:
| Layer | Spoiler level | Use when |
|---|---|---|
| Getting Started, How to Progress | Low | Stuck on instruments or missed audio |
| Demo Walkthrough | Demo-only | You own only the preview build |
| This hub + embedded video | High | Retail run; you accept major spoilers |
| Endings | Maximum | You want ending structure and second-run planning |
Rule: If you have not finished a blind retail run, stay on non-spoiler guides until soft-locks force a video lookup. Launch-week YouTube autofill will dump all four endings within hours—mute tags until you are ready.
Demo versus retail (do not mix maps)
The demo (app 3243360) is on-rails Operator training. Retail (app 2895680) removes guardrails. Common mistakes after launch:
- Assuming a demo speedrun path is “canonical” retail
- Skipping vitals because the demo forgave it once
- Opening ending videos before experiencing branching guilt
Scope table: Full Game vs Demo. Branching without ending charts: Decisions & Branching.
Retail phases (spoiler-light structure)
Use this framework instead of a beat-by-beat script. Names stay generic to protect first runs.
Phase 1 — Desk certification (retail opening)
Re-learn instruments even if you cleared the demo. Retail may add console depth beyond the preview tutorial.
- Status, radar, radio cycle — Radar & Status, Terminals & Radio
- Medical and electrical panels when prompted — Life Support & Squad
- Desk geography — Operator Station
Complete every prompted check before authorizing risky orders.
Phase 2 — Transmission discipline under branching pressure
Retail radio decisions carry consequence. When the squad begs for clarity, your instrument honesty becomes a branch selector.
- Headphones mandatory — Headphones & Audio
- Log last full voice line before leaving the desk
- Use Operator Checklist between scares
Phase 3 — Facility exploration and environmental puzzles
Leave the chair when audio authorizes—not when impatience demands. Bathroom beats, peephole inspections, and corridor anomalies return with retail stakes.
- Facility Exploration
- Cassettes & Lore for every tape in reach
- Anomalies & Events when instruments disagree with hope
Phase 4 — Branch convergence and ending gates
FromSouthGames confirmed four different endings in the July 29 launch post. This hub will not chart which order unlocks which ending—that is Endings territory. Before your first close, ask: did you keep status honest, walk when cued, and follow protocol language on screen?
Phase 5 — Second run and achievement cleanup
Eight achievements reward thorough Operators. Spoiler-light hunting: Achievements & Collectibles. Change one decision class per replay—see Decisions & Branching.
Embedded full-game reference video
The mid-article video is a full-game walkthrough reference with retail spoilers. Watch only when stuck or after a finished blind run. Pause during instrument segments to compare your habits against Terminals & Radio. Do not treat chapter timestamps as official achievement names until Steam text stabilizes post-patch.
Soft-lock recovery (retail)
Missed audio still soft-locks in retail. Before opening spoiler videos:
- Replay the last sixty seconds of dialogue
- Full status → radar → radio cycle
- Play unopened cassettes in reach
- Inspect authorized facility spaces
- Open How to Progress When Stuck
Real bugs (crashes, missing prompts) go to Bug Report Guide with build ID—not Reddit rage posts.
